The questions we get asked most
Most teepees need a 120cm × 120cm space and stand 160cm tall. The 5-pole teepee needs 150cm × 155cm. The poles lean outwards, so allow a little extra.
The cover is cotton canvas: a natural fibre that is soft, breathable and washable. The poles are New Zealand pine, a renewable timber, instead of plastic or metal. Natural, long-lasting materials mean a teepee that can be passed down rather than thrown away.
No tools are needed. It takes about 15 to 20 minutes and is easier with two people. Step-by-step instructions are on our assembly instructions page.
Yes, without taking it apart. Bring the poles together with the cover still on, and the teepee folds up for storage.
Yes. At 160cm tall with a 120cm base, there is room for older children, or for a parent to sit inside with a young child.
It’s fine outside for a play, but bring it back in afterwards. Teepees are made for indoor use, and the canvas gets dirty quickly if it’s left outside.
The canvas cover and poles, and usually the flags and decorations shown in the photos, such as leaves. Mats and lights are sold separately. Cushions aren’t included, but we can source them, so call or message us if you’d like some.

No. Our cubby houses are made to stay up as a permanent spot in the room, so your child’s space is always ready. If you do need to move it, it is easy to take apart and carry.
Our cubbies are 125cm to 150cm tall, so most young children can stand up inside.
Most of our cubbies have PVC poles and brackets. The canopy-style cubbies have fibreglass poles.

I bought this tent for a participant who struggles with sensory overload in shared accommodation. The house can get loud and unpredictable, which used to trigger shutdowns pretty regularly.
After introducing the tent, they began using it as a “reset spot”. They’ll go inside for 10–15 minutes with headphones and come out much calmer. It’s portable enough that we can move it between rooms as needed.

We originally bought this tent thinking it would just be a fun play thing for the lounge room but it turned into way more than that. My son gets pretty overwhelmed after school, especially when his little sister is running around screaming. First day the tent arrived he dragged his blanket and headphones in there and just sat quietly for about 20 minutes. That NEVER used to happen.
Now it’s basically his reset zone. Some afternoons he reads comics in there, other days he just lies down with a fidget toy. The material feels soft and not plasticky which I appreciate. Shipping was normal speed and the packaging wasn’t over-the-top which was nice.

OKAY I need to say this because I was NOT expecting the brown tent to become the centre of our living room life 😂😂. When it arrived I thought “cute, the kids will play with it for a few days”… nope. My two boys basically declared it their base and now it’s a whole situation. Blankets, pillows, stuffed animals, flashlights, the works.
What I actually love about the brown colour is it doesn’t look crazy bright or plastic-y in the house. It blends in a bit more with the room which is nice when toys normally scream COLOUR everywhere. They use it for everything reading, pretend camping, building Lego worlds inside it. Honestly the amount of imagination that comes out of that little tent is wild. One minute they’re explorers, next minute they’re running a “snack shop” inside it and charging me pretend money for crackers. If something keeps kids busy WITHOUT screens for hours?? big win in my book.
