Understanding NDIS Funding at SensoryTent.com.au:

Wondering if you can use your NDIS plan to purchase our sensory tents & sensory bed tents? At SensoryTent.com.au, we’ve streamlined the process to make it accessible for both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

Please note that SensoryTent.com.au is not a NDIS registered provider, but both self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants may be able to use their funds in our shop.

Whether you’re eligible to purchase items depends on your NDIS participant plan, available funding, and approval from the NDIS. You may utilize your consumables funding to acquire products and resources that align with your NDIS goals. The categories available in your NDIS plan will specify the options at your disposal.

For Self-Managed Participants:

We offer two convenient options for a hassle-free experience:

Option 1: Immediate Payment

  • Complete your order via credit/debit card or PayPal.
  • Receive a receipt immediately upon payment.
  • Simply submit your payment request on the NDIS portal.

Option 2: Pay Later

  • Select the “By Invoice” option at checkout.
  • We’ll email an invoice to the address you provide. We do not claim funds directly from NDIS.
  • You can claim through NDIS and transfer funds to us once received.
  • Notify us of payment, and your order will be dispatched promptly.

 

For Plan-Managed Participants:

SensoryTent.com.au makes it easy for plan-managed participants. Follow these simple steps:

  • Select your desired products and proceed to checkout.
  • Choose the “By Invoice” payment method.
  • Receive an invoice in your order confirmation email.
  • Forward the invoice to your plan manager for payment.
  • Once payment is received, we’ll dispatch your order and provide tracking details.
 

NOTES ON NDIS FUNDING:

  • Our blackout tents and bed tents are often approved under NDIS, but claims for our other products besides these will most likely be refused. Please contact NDIS or your plan manager for clarification.
  • If you select “By Invoice” when ordering, we’ll email an invoice to the address you provide. We do not claim funds directly from NDIS.
  • For smoother processing, please include the following details in your order: NDIS number, First and Last name of participant, Plan manager’s email address (if plan-managed)
  • Our products are not specifically in the list of Approved items for funding, we do recommend to accompany the claim with a letter from a registered practitioner outlining in what the purchase of a tent is reasonable and necessary.
